Thursday, March 21: 6-7 PM.  Made some west coast phone calls (follow ups for mail outs).

Friday, March 22: Internship at Screen Gems, then to work at my job (no chance to make any west coast calls today).

Monday, March 23: 1-2 PM.  Made more west coast follow up calls during my lunch hour (I work in the Film Studies Equipment Room every Monday, from 9-5.  Also made some local follow up calls.  One of these was to Joe Dunton and Wilmington Camera Services, who expressed an interest, and wanted to know about our film, and our scholars.  I told him I could send him all of this information.  He said to do that, and added, "I'll see what I can do."  When we got off the phone, I sent all of that information to him, including the sponsorship info (again).

I also sent all of that information to my friend that I mentioned in class last week, Bruce Holsten (producer who has produced one or more of Terry Linehan's films).  A little later in the day, Bruce messaged me saying he had looked over what I had sent him, and will donate to our festival (he didn't specify how much).  He also said he plans on attending.

Tuesday, March 24.  12:30-12:45 AM.  Went onto the Wacky Buttons website to look at what they require file wise for an order, turn around times, shipping, etc.  I have decided on the 1-1/2" buttons, as they are not much more than the 1" ones, but are considerably larger.

Sunday, February 17: 9 PM-1 AM.  Continued watching third round of Visions film submissions.  Scored all films except the seven I have yet to screen.

Monday, February 18: 10 PM-12 AM.  Screened and scored remaining seven films from the third round of submissions.

Tuesday, February 19: 10 AM-12:30 PM.  Worked on getting email addresses for Group A follow ups.

Wednesday, February 01: 9:30-10:30 AM.  Put approximately half of Group B mail out addresses into proper form in Excel document for printing labels after working with TAC.

10-11 PM.  Finished getting remaining Group B mail out addresses into Excel document.

Thursday, February 21: 5:45-7:30 PM.  Worked with A.J. Hallet in the Editing Lab.  We folded and stuffed all 100 Group B Visions sponsor mail out letters, and affixed UNCW Film Studies return address labels to envelopes.  Group B mail out letters are ready to go out once address labels are printed and affixed to envelopes (Monday, February 25).

Friday, February 23: 9:30-10:40 AM.  Worked with Ashley in TAC to prepare Group B mail out addresses for label printing.  Every time, I have had to work with a new person.  This time, she showed my step by step what she was doing, but she still didn't get it figured out until after I had to leave for my internship.  Marge Streb was there also, however, and Ashley worked with her, and got it figured out.

4:20-5:05 PM.  Worked with Ashley and finally got Group B mail out addresses ready for printing on labels, then sent document to Pat Torok for printing on Monday, February 25.

Friday, February 1: 9-10 AM -- weekly meeting with A.J. and Joey Powell.  Talked about when to send follow up emails to Visions Sponsor mail outs (Friday, March 8).  A.J. asked Joey to look over my initial mail out list and see if he could think of any other good choices for me to contact.  We talked about the Valentine's Day Bake Sale, specifically the idea of dressing up as movie characters.  I asked A.J. how and when we determine who will do what the day before the festival and the day of the festival.

10 PM-12 AM -- watched the second round of film submissions.  Interesting submissions.

Saturday, February 2: 2-5 AM -- woke up and couldn't sleep, so watched the films a second time and then scored them all.  I chose even fewer films to move on from this round than I did the first round.

Sunday, February 3: 2-2:20 PM -- added personal quote to my Visions bio and sent it to Ben Blevins.

Visions Tasks:

Tuesday, January 21: 9:30-9:45 AM -- Talked to the person in charge of donations at Sam's Club.  I requested a gift card for the purchase of water/juice.  He said they decide once a month, and would let me know.  They typically only give out gift cards of $25.

Thursday, January 24: 11:45 AM-1 PM -- Got the rest of the envelopes that Jamie had ordered.  Met with A.J. and Channing in Randall Library, applied the remaining address labels, then stuffed the envelopes, and then went to class.
5:45-6 PM -- Went to Editing Lab after class and dragged the first 15 films onto my hard drive.  Began watching the films around 8 PM (first viewing).

Friday, January 25: 10 AM -- Went to UNCW post office to mail Visions sponsor letters, but they were CLOSED due to installation of a new system.  They weren't going to open until noon, and I had to intern at Screen Gems from 11-4, then go to work.  SO...I asked off early, so I could come back and send.  They STILL were not open for full service, so I had to drive directly to the mail center at the back of campus before they closed at 4.  Went to the wrong building.  By the time I got to the right place, it was a little after 4, but they were very nice, and took all of the letters.  WHEW!
10 PM-12 AM -- Continued watching Visions film submissions (first viewing) after I got home from work.

Saturday, January 26: 5 PM-1:30 AM Sunday -- Watched the remainder of the films (first viewing), then watched the ones I felt I need to view again before scoring.  Scored all films (1-15).

Sunday, January 27: 3:30-4PM -- Visions Blog update.
7:30-8 PM -- Updated Visions bio with my job description and title (updated last week, but didn't include this info).
